All About Ms. Wild
My name is Kristen Wild and this is my 19th year of teaching at Dove Academy. I spent my first six years as a first grade teacher, and the following eleven years as a Title One teacher and Instructional Coach. I am now in my second year as a Literacy Coach working to improve reading skills in students K-2. I am excited this year to be working exclusively on reading with Kindergarten and First graders.
I earned my undergraduate degree at Wayne State University with Early Childhood and Middle School Language Arts endorsements. I went on to earn my Masters in Reading and Language Arts from Oakland University along with a Reading Specialist endorsement.
I have two children, a 27-year-old daughter named Alyssa who is currently earning her Medical Assistant certification, and a 25-year-old son named Ryan who is a helicopter repairman in the Army and is currently deployed in South Korea. I believe that this is the happiest I’ve been in my life and am excited for the year ahead!
